Corporate Contributions “Reaching” Children & Enriching Lives
The Detroit Institute of Arts would like to thank the many corporations who helped us achieve our Reach: Make an Impression challenge goal. Corporate donations to Reach will affect the lives of thousands of children, who will now have an opportunity to participate in drop-in workshops, studio and educational classes, and art to the schools programs. The DIA Web site (dia.org) features ongoing teacher training, updated lesson plans, and curriculum guides for educators to download and use throughout the year. Many students use our site as an educational supplement to what they learn in the classroom.
The museum would like to give special thanks to the MASCO Foundation for issuing this challenge, offering to match dollar-for-dollar all new corporate contributions within a six-month time period. This grant helps offset the substantial cost of our valued educational programs.
