Extended Hours for Final Days of Ansel Adams Exhibition
The Ansel Adams exhibition is entering its final days at the Detroit Institute of Arts (DIA). Due to its overwhelming success, the DIA is extending the exhibition hours on:
Saturday, May 19 10 a.m.–7 p.m. Sunday, May 20 10 a.m.–7 p.m. Saturday, May 26 10 a.m.–7 p.m.
These hours are for the exhibition only; the entire museum will be open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
The exhibition features more than 100 black and white photographs made by Ansel Adams throughout the course of his career featuring familiar images and others that are little known and extremely rare. Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for youth, ages 6-17. Children age 5 and under are free. For more information call the DIA box office at 313.833.4005.
On Sunday, May 27, the museum and exhibition will close at 5 p.m. for an official closing ceremony and a kick-off of summer activities. The museum will be closed until Nov. 23 in order to complete the final stages of the current renovation project.
