DIA Receives $1.5 Million for Endowment

The museum has successfully completed its participation in the Community Foundation for Southeast Michigan's Increasing Regional Philanthropy initiative, raising $1 million to receive $500,000 in matching funds. The program matched every two dollars raised through donations of cash, marketable securities, or irrevocable planned gifts with one dollar. The $1.5 million the DIA received was added to the museum's endowment.

Building the DIA's endowment is crucial to the future of the museum. Please contact Bernadette Doré, director of major and planned gifts, at 313.494.5239 or e-mail bdore@dia.org for information regarding how to participate.
