Frequently Asked Questions

Can I have my wedding here?

The DIA is available for small wedding receptions with up to 150 guests (no ceremonies).  Please speak with a catering representative for more details.

Can I bring my own vendors?

The DIA is exclusive provider for food, beverage, alcohol, valet, and red carpet. You can work with your own vendors for florals, specialty linen and tableware. We just ask that you coordinate those vendors with your DIA catering representative. Vendors may be asked to provide proof of insurance.

Can I have a gallery tour?

Yes! Our catering representatives can help you customize your event with a docent-led or self-guided tour.

Can I display a car inside the building, or bring in other types of displays?

For the protection of the art, automobiles, motorcycles, etc are not allowed inside the building, but they can be displayed outside at the event entrance. Please let us know what other type of displays you may be considering.

Can I bring my family reunion (or other large group)?

Yes! Contact our Group Sales department at 313.833.1292 to assist you with your group of 20 or more.
