Founders Junior Council
The Most Fun You'll Ever Have
Supporting the Arts!
The Founders Junior Coucil (FJC) is one of the largest and most influential auxiliary groups at the Detroit Insitute of Arts. For almost forty years, the FJC has worked with young Michigan professionals to organize exciting programs which promote interest in the DIA's extraordinary collections of art.
A vital part of Southeast Michigan's cultural scene, the FJC brings together young professionals with a shared desire to learn about art, to help the DIA, and to have fun. The FJC does this by sponsoring a wide range of educational and social programs including exclusive curator talks, visits to the studios of local artists, and private tours of permanent collections and temporary exhibitions at the DIA. And we sponsor some of Southeastern Michigan's premier social events and parties. Proceeds from these programs and event provide crucial financial support for DIA acquisition of important works of art and curatorial projects.
In sum, the FJC is a great way to support one of North America's premier art museums while expanding your cultural horizons and enhancing your social calendar.
