Travel
Travel organized by the Council serves two aims: short trips to other U.S. cities foster greater knowledge of the great collections elsewhere in this country, both public and private; trips to major international art markets that serve, in part, to cultivate private collectors and provide them with the requisite background to pursue collecting via reputable dealers or at auction.
The European Paintings Council is in the preliminary stages of planning a trip to Italy in February 2014. Check back in early fall for details.
