Thursday, July 15, 2010

8:00 PM

Join the Detroit Symphony Orchestra for a free screening as it provides the world premiere soundtrack to the 1926 silent film gem, Sparrows. Starring Mary Pickford, America’s first sweetheart and directed by William Beaudine, the film is the story of the Grimes family, who live deep in the swamps in the South, and operate a farm where unwanted or lost children are cruelly worked and underfed.

This event takes place at Orchestra Hall and admission is free to the public.
