USA/2009—directed by Ben Steinbauer (85 min.)

Jack Rebney became an unlikely folk hero when his hilariously profane outbursts were caught on tape during the making of a Winnebago sales video in 1988. But it wasn’t until the outtakes went viral on YouTube in 2005 that Rebney became a full-blown Internet phenomenon. Filmmaker Ben Steinbauer sets out on the daunting task of tracking down Rebney, who has become a virtual hermit, and who, until recently, had no idea that the video even existed. This smart, funny and unexpectedly poignant tale of one man's response to unintended celebrity was described by Michael Moore as “one of the funniest documentaries ever made.”
