WATCH ME MOVE: ANIMATED ODDITIES AND UNEXPECTED PLEASURES

Saturday, October 19, 2013

4:00 PM DFT Auditorium

Enhance your visit to Watch Me Move: The Animation Show by attending an animation compilation in the historic Detroit Film Theatre. All exhibition visitors receive one free ticket for the films listed below; additional tickets are $5.00 each. Total running time for each film is approximately 60 min.

Some of the most memorable animated short films have been works that aren’t necessarily part of an easily identifiable stylistic or thematic trend. From one-joke comic larks like Bambi Meets Godzilla to the early work of Tim Burton and the fables of John and Faith Hubley, animation is often the medium of choice for expressing the inexpressible. Program curated By Steve Stanchfield, Professor of Animation, Entertainment Arts, College for Creative Studies.
