Tom Lee’s puppetry work has been seen in productions of War Horse at Lincoln Center, Madame Butterfly at the New York Philharmonic and in Disfarmer at St. Anne’s Warehouse. He will discuss the history of Japanese puppetry styles bunraku and kuruma ningyo before expanding on his current creative work and the synthesis of Japanese puppetry traditions with western performance.
