DFT ANIMATION CLUB: JAMES AND THE GIANT PEACH

Saturday, January 14, 2017

2:00 PM Detroit Film Theatre

(USA/1996—directed by Henry Selick)

A young boy's discovery of a gigantic peach triggers an eventful journey across the sea in this strikingly designed and slightly twisted animated adventure from the dark imagination of Roald Dahl and producer Tim Burton. Director Henry Selick (The Nightmare Before Christmas) creates a fascinating, eerie alternate universe that should enthrall sophisticated youngsters, but may be a bit too scary for very young children. (79 minutes)

The Detroit Film Theatre is supported by your millage investment in the DIA.
