7:00 PM Detroit Film Theatre

(USA/2003—directed by Jim Jarmusch)

In conjunction with the DIA’s exhibition Bitter/Sweet: Coffee, Tea & Chocolate, the DFT presents a special presentation of this anthology of engaging, often hilarious, sometimes touching vignettes by director Jim Jarmusch (Gimme Danger, Stranger Than Paradise) in which well-known musicians and actors appear to be playing themselves, pouring out everything on their minds (including caffeine popsicles, for example) over coffee and a smoke. The once-in-a-lifetime cast includes Bill Murray, Jack and Meg White, Iggy Pop, Cate Blanchett, Tom Waits, Cinqué and Joie Lee, Roberto Benigni, Steve Buscemi and many more. (95 minutes)

The Detroit Film Theatre is supported by your millage investment in the DIA.
DFT general admission tickets are $9.50, member tickets are $7.50. DFT general admission online and phone orders incur a $1.50 per ticket convenience fee. Ticketing fees are waived for DIA members. Student and Senior tickets are $7.50 and are available in person at the DIA box office or at the door.
