Inside|Out DIA in our Backyard

Wednesday, May 23, 2012 |1:00 PM – 2:00 PM

The DIA and the City of Farmington Hills invites the community to attend two free art events, in conjunction with the Inside Out program currently on exhibit until the end of June.

On May 3 and May 23, the Detroit Institute of Arts will bring the Inside Out program temporarily back inside, in two special, free drop-in lectures at the Farmington Community Libraries, beginning at 1 p.m.

A trained docent from the DIA will lead the audience through a fascinating journey covering the history, details, and artistic significance of each artwork. Pieces include works from many time periods, styles and subjects, from portraits to landscapes to animals.

On Thursday, May 23, the seven artworks on exhibit in downtown Farmington will be discussed in detail at the Farmington branch library, located at 23500 Liberty Street. 1:00pm to 2:00pm.
