Gallery Tour: The Dutch Collection
Saturday, October 13, 2012 |10:00 AM – 11:30 AM
For its quality, quantity and variety, the Detroit Institute of Arts possesses one of the best collections of seventeenth century Dutch paintings in the United States. Some of our works such as Ruisdael’s Jewish Cemetery are known world-wide as milestones in the History of Art. Other pieces are less famous but represent an equally intense presence and beauty in our galleries.
Please join Salvador Salort-Pons on a tour of the Dutch collection to discover some DIA hidden jewels and to get a fresh look at our most celebrated works.
Exclusively for EPC Members and their guests.
Please meet in Dining Rooms A & B (beside Café DIA) at 9:45 am. Coat check is available at the Farnsworth and Woodward entrances. RSVP at (313) 833-9162 or vreynolds@dia.org.
