There's a bit of creative genius in all of us!

The DIA Studio offers a wide range of activities to bring out the inner artist in everyone. It is a great place to explore your artistic interests, meet interesting people, and get those creative juices flowing! Our class sizes are kept small to ensure plenty of individual attention and our highly skilled artist-instructors tailor each class. We offer courses for children, adults, and families. No prior art-making experience is required, simply bring your desire to express yourself and we'll help you take it from there.

All studio art classes are held in the DIA Studio (view studio location) in the Wayne and Joan Webber Education Wing, 1st level. The studio is accessible from the John R Group Entrance and the Farnsworth Entrance.

Register for a class

Pre-registration and pre-payment is required for all classes with fees. Space is limited, so register early. Walk-ins will be accommodated only if space is available. Please note that photographs may be taken by DIA staff during classes and used for promotional purposes.

You can register online @ tickets.dia.org. You may also register by calling the Box Office at 313.833.4005 between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m., Wednesday and Thursday; 9 a.m. and 5 p.m., Friday through Sunday. Accept: Discover, MasterCard, Visa or American Express. Credit card will be charged at time of registration. Class reservations are held at the door.

Cancellation policy: In order to ensure you receive a personal experience from our highly skilled artist-instructors, each class is customized and the number of participants limited. As a result, our class registration fees are non-refundable and non-transferrable.
