Wire Car Cruise
4–5 p.m.

Visual artist Chido Johnson and more than 50 "drivers" stage a wire car cruise showcasing the wire cars built by local students, artists and international participants.


Music Performance
5:30–6:45 p.m.
Lecture Hall

Classical music in a new way, Homeward Journey: CutTime Simfonica, original works by composer/bassist Rick Robinson, is performed by CutTime Simfonica, with appearances by hip hop dancer Haleem “Stringz” Ar-Rasheed and Flamenco choreographer Valeria Montes.


Multi-media Presentation

In The Troublemakers: The True, Epic Story of Diego Rivera and Frida Kahlo in Depression Detroit, Louis Aguilar brings to life the fierce controversy that surrounded the creation of Diego Rivera’s masterpiece fresco, Detroit Industry, utilizing dramatic readings, historic images and original music composed and performed by Jessica Hernandez.

Raices/Roots takes the audience on a journey to the roots of Flamenco dance and song with performances by La Chispa and Company, featuring Valeria Montes, Jesus Munoz, Alfonso Cid, Chayito Champion, Vicente Griego and Jose de la Vega.
