Sixty-Eighth Annual Detroit Public Schools Student Exhibitions
Saturday, April 09, 2005 – Saturday, May 14, 2005
This exhibition features hundreds of objects in all media made by students in kindergarten through 12th grade. This year the late Ruth T. Cattell, a former Detroit school teacher, will be honored during the opening reception for her generous gift of $500,000 to this annual exhibition. Because of ongoing renovations at the DIA, the ceramics, paintings, drawings, sculptures and videos will be on exhibit at the Detroit Public Library across Woodward from the museum. Library hours are Tuesday-Wednesday, noon-8 p.m.; Thursday-Saturday, 10 a.m.-6 p.m. Admission to the Library is free. Call 313.833.7900 for more information.
