69th Annual Detroit Public Schools Student Exhibition
Thursday, April 20, 2006 – Sunday, May 14, 2006
The outstanding talent of Detroit Public School students is showcased in the Sixty-ninth Annual Detroit Public Schools Student Exhibition, on view at the main Detroit Public Library because of the continuing renovations at the DIA. Dozens of schools participate in the show, open to students in all grades. Drawings, ceramics, collagese, and jewelry are among the many media represented. Hours at the library, located at 5201 Woodward, across the street from the museum, are Tuesday and Wednesday, noon to 8 p.m., and Thursday through Saturday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Admission to the library is free.
The Sixty-ninth Annual Detroit Public Schools Student Exhibition was organized by the Detroit Institute of Arts and the Detroit Public Schools, and is made possible with the support of the Ruth T. Cattell Education Endowment Fund, the Michigan Council for Arts and Cultural Affairs, and the City of Detroit.
