Puppet Performance: The Nana Projects presents Alonzo's Lullaby

Sunday, July 29, 2012 |2:30 p.m. - 3:30 p.m.

Location: Lecture Hall
Performed by two-three puppeteers (aka lanterneers) using graceful, hand manipulated cutouts made of plastic and acrylic gels with overhead projectors, this unique form of puppetry blends the manipulation of objects with the tricks of Victorian Magic Lantern slide shows and brings a modern twist to pre-cinema. Inspired by the Hagenback-Wallace Circus train wreck of 1918. Original score performed live by ellen cherry and Nicholas Sjostrom.
