Joan Soriano and La Familia perform bachata, a music genre that originated in the Dominican Republic. La Familia features three of Soriano’s fifteen siblings performing music from their native Monte Plata.

Drop-In Workshop: Tapestry Weaving
Weaving is an ancient art form that dates back thousands of years and has been practiced by many cultures throughout the world. Use a small card board loom and yarn to complete a simple project.
6-9 p.m.

 

 

Drawing in the Galleries for Youth
6–9 p.m.
(Ages 6–14, children 12 and younger must be accompanied by an adult)
Artist/instructors help participants create pencil drawings to take home. No experience necessary; materials provided.
