Michigan Philharmonic: Miniature Masterpieces

This performance features the wind section of the Michigan Phil in a rarely performed work of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart’s Serenade for Winds no. 10, K. 361/370A “Gran Partita.” Concertmaster, violinist Joseph Deller joins the wind section as soloist on Michael Daugherty’s Ladder to the Moon, based on the New York skyscraper paintings of the American artist, Georgia O’Keeffe.

Drop-In Workshop: Flip Books 
A flip book uses an animation process to tell a story with your drawings. Make a small book of your own to take home. In conjunction with the Watch Me Move exhibition.
 
 
 
Drawing in the Galleries for Youth
6–9 p.m.
(Ages 6–14, children 12 and younger must be accompanied by an adult)
Artist/instructors help participants create pencil drawings to take home. No experience necessary; materials provided.
