Storytelling: Thankful for Families

Join award-winning storyteller Corinne Stavish and share laughter, love, and gratitude for our families, especially our grandparents, as we launch a festive holiday season. Location: Rivera Court

Drop-in Workshop: Paper Shoes 10 a.m.–4 p.m. (12 and under must be with an adult) Use a variety of decorative papers and other art making materials to make miniature versions of your favorite type of shoe.
Drawing in the Galleries for Adults and Youth Noon–4 p.m. (Ages 6 and older, children 12 and younger must be accompanied by an adult) Artist/instructors help participants create pencil drawings to take home. No experience necessary; materials provided. Location: See the This Week at the DIA handout at any Information Desk.
Live Music: Barbershop Quartets Performances occur periodically between 10 a.m.–5 p.m. Barbershop Quartets from the Great Lakes region fill the galleries of the Detroit Institute of Arts with the sweet harmonies featured in this entertaining style of a cappella singing. Groups featured in this day of harmony include Moxie, Singing with Dad, and Right on Q. Location: Rivera Court, Prentis Court, Kresge Court
