Join the Friends of Modern and Contemporary Art for FOURTH FRIDAYS FOR FRIENDS - an opportunity to enjoy in-depth discussions about contemporary art, attend private receptions hosted by FMCA, and delight in the DIA's fabulous Friday Night Live performances.

Friday Night Live
In celebration of the Movement Electronic Music Festival, Friday Night Live and Detroit Film Theatre will present a special double-bill program in the auditorium.
Moon Pool and Dead Band 7:00 p.m.
Moon Pool and Dead Band is a Detroit electroinic duo featuring David Shettler and Nate Young. Their syncopated electronic sound is created live, without overdubs on analog synthesizers and various percussion instruments.
The Ballad of Genesis and Lady Jaye 9:30 p.m.
(US-2011-directed by Marie Losier) This film serves as a dual portrait of Genesis P-Orridge and his wife, Lady Jaye, who were pioneers of the electronic noise and industrial music scene.

Eric Moss Contemporary Art Galleries (N285) 8:00pm
In celebration of the Movement Electronic Music Festival impresario Eric Moss will curate musical selections that range from acoustic to contemporary electronic sound. Moss will speak about his program and its relationship to the artworks on display.

Private Reception 8:30 – 9:30 p.m.
FMCA invites you to join FMCA members for converstaion and light refreshments. Discounted membership available during reception.
