THE TRANSLITERATIVE TEASE

Slavs and Tatars
Artist Collective

Wednesday, February 19, 7 p.m.
The march of alphabets has always accompanied that of empires — Arabic with Islam, Latin with the rise of Roman Catholicism, and Cyrillic with the Orthodox Church. Members of this artist collective look for commonalities in Eurasia, where Europe and Asis meet, through exploration of populations, allegiances, and languages in transition.

This lecture is free and open to the public.
