THE IDA AND CONRAD SMITH LECTURE SERIES, 2007-2008

The Associates of the American Wing lecture series is supported by the Ida and Conrad H. Smith Fund, which was established by the Raymond C. Smith Foundation Fund of the Community Foundation for Southeastern Michigan.

WEEKDAY EVENING EVENTS
Evening lectures begin at 6:30 p.m. in the DIA Lecture Hall. Lectures are free and open to the public. Please enter through the Woodward Lobby. Parking available outside the Woodward Avenue entrance.

"Celebrating Life’s Pleasures"
Hosts: Carolyn and James Nichols

Organized by James Tottis, the DIA’s Associate Curator of American Art, Life’s Pleasures: The Ashcan Artists’ Brush with Leisure, 1895-1925 opens at the DIA on March 2, 2007. Tonight will be a special opportunity to enjoy private curator-led tours of the exhibition, and to discuss Ashcan art with the DIA curators. Limited to members of the AAW who register for this night’s dinner.
