SALLY OF THE SAWDUST

Saturday, March 22, 2008 4:00 PM

(1925) Directed by D.W. Griffith

W.C. Fields (in only his second film appearance) plays Professor Eustace McGargle, the unlikely guardian of an orphaned circus waif (Carol Dempster). Sally of the Sawdust is an early glimpse of the comic timing and dry wit that would make Fields a legend, as well as providing an intimate portrait of the lives of itinerant vaudevillians. (113 min.) Sat. at 4:00

Admission is free to the public.
