Monet to Dalí: Seeing the Modern World through Artists’ Eyes

A group of familiar names—Monet, Picasso, Matisse, Van Gogh, Dali, among others—have come to define what many think of as “modern art.” MaryAnn Wilkinson, curator of Modern Art, Department of European Art, introduces the exhibition Monet to Dalí: Modern Masters from the Cleveland Museum of Art by considering the relationship of the major artists of the modern period with issues of style, content, and context.
