Member Lecture: “Monet to Dalí: Seeing the Modern World through Artists’ Eyes”

October 10 - October 11, 2008  / Oct. 10 at 6:30 p.m. & Oct. 11 at 11 a.m.

Lecture seating is limited. Admission is granted on a first-come basis.

A group of familiar names – Monet, Picasso, Matisse, Van Gogh, Dalí, among others – have come to define what many think of as “modern art.” MaryAnn Wilkinson, curator of modern art, department of European art, introduces the exhibition by considering the relationship of the major artists of the modern period to issues of style, content, and context.
