Inside|Out Detroit Bicycle Tour
Sunday, September 16, 2012
8:30 AM – 12:00 PM
Join a pedal-powered celebration of Detroit and the DIA's Inside|Out program, which features 11 reproductions of works from the museum's permanent collection, located outdoors in Midtown, Corktown, Downtown, Eastern Market, and along the Detroit Riverfront. Riders will savor mechanical, musical, and poetic moments along the way. The approximate 13-mile tour begins at the DIA at 9:00 a.m. and returns to the museum by noon, where participants can view the original works.
Check-in begins at 8:30 a.m. in the Loggia entrance on John R. The bicycle tour is free and includes discounted museum admission (free for residents of Macomb, Oakland, and Wayne Counties.) Helmets are mandatory. Special thanks to Detroit Bikes for their help in organizing this ride.
