There's a transformation taking place at the Detroit Institute of Arts as we put the finishing touches on one of the most ambitious renovation and expansion projects in our history. For more than a century the DIA has housed some of the world's greatest works of art. We have also been a gathering place for the vibrant community that is metropolitan Detroit; an important factor in the region’s quality of life. With our project we're building on that great tradition, making all of the things you love about the museum even better. The DIA is your museum and we look forward to bringing you new ways to look at and think about art; and, in turn, the world around you. Get ready to experience one of the country’s greatest art collections in a whole new way coming this November.

Until then, we’d like to tell you about our journey, and preview what is sure to be one of the most important moments in Detroit’s cultural history. Please take a moment to watch this special video to learn more about our exciting project.
