HELPFUL HINTS FOR WRITING YOUR PAPER

INDIVIDUALLY

1) Come up with a topic sentence that summarizes the main idea of what you are writing about

2) Come up with three points that you are going to discuss about your main topic

3) Read and research to find three details (for each of your three points) that somehow describe the points that you are writing about

EXAMPLE:

4) Answer: Who, What, Where, When, How and Why?

5) Find illustration that support what you are writing about

AS A GROUP

1) Try to arrange your papers in order, so that you are telling one story

2) Put your group paper together in one booklet. Have someone create a cover

3) Create a table of contents that identifies who wrote each section

4) Create a one page summary of your total report for everyone in class

5) Create a group presentation of your findings (visuals will be helpful)
