Objectives:

As a result of this activity students will be able to:

  • learn how to represent realistic proportions and positions of the human body.
  • research costume, flags, color, and other symbols (or sometimes develop original ideas) to visually represent their ethnic origin.
  • create art that enhances their self-esteem by increasing awareness of their own ethnic and cultural heritage.
