Objectives:
As a result of this activity, students will be able to:- gain a greater familiarity with the properties of clay and a greater dexterity with the use of it.
- understand the concept of collaboration.
- understand that through art it is possible to have multiple interpretations and solutions to the same problem.
Standards:
Michigan Curriculum Framework: Teaching and Learning
This section describes four standards which form the foundation of authentic teaching and learning. These standards are higher-order thinking, deep knowledge, substantive conversation, and connections beyond the classroom.
Standards of Authentic Instruction Authentic instruction is meaningful instruction. It helps learners move beyond memorization, by creating learning experiences which demand sustained, disciplined, and critical thought on topics that have relevance to life beyond school.
