Use the Yin and Yang Fan Rubric Assessment
Form, which details the following criteria, to
grade students' work:
10 Complete sketches of yin and yang images.
20 Draw and paint yin and yang designs on both
fan sides.
10 Decorate fan handle.
40 Complete assembly of fan.
20 Complete yin and yang fan report
100 Total Points
Copies of the Rubric Assessment Form can be
handed out in lesson one as a self-assessment
tool to help students know what is expected.
Students' fans were displayed with projects from
the social studies lesson The Great Way of
Taoism.
