Admission tickets
Admission to the exhibition is $10 for adults and $5 for
youth ages 6-17, and adult chaperones (1 chaperone for every 10 students
when scheduling a school visit). Advance reservations are available
for groups of 20 people or more. Limited admission and transportation
subsidies are available. For reservations, call Group Sales at 313.833.1292.
Audio Tours
The exhibition audio tour is free with admission, and features an
adult version (suitable for high school students).
Educators’ Discount at DIA Museum Shop
Please bring your educator’s identification to receive a 20%
educational discount on products to be used exclusively in the classroom.
This discount may not be combined with any other discount. (If you
wish to receive a tax exemption with the 20% discount, you need a
school ID number.)
“Ask Me” Docent
A museum-trained volunteer will be available during all open hours
to address visitor questions.

Teacher Workshop
Focus on Special Exhibitions: Ansel Adams
Saturday, March 3; 9 a.m.–3:30 p.m.
Learn how Adams' iconic photographs reveal American history and core
democratic values. Henry Ford Community College instructor and museum
consultant, Amy DeWys Van Heck models strategies for incorporating
Adam's stunning works into your classroom. In the afternoon, attend
the exhibition member's preview and lecture with Karen Haas, Curator
of The Lane Collection and author of the Ansel Adams catalog. Teaching
materials will be provided. For art, classroom, and social studies
teachers. Includes exhibition admission. Workshop begins in the Crystal
Gallery. Call 313.833.4249 to register.
