Students are assessed using the
Group Participation Rubric and the Essay Rubric
for Civic Writing.
Note: If both The Way of Tea social studies
lesson and The Art of Tea art lesson are taught
to the same students, the art teacher may
determine what percentage of this social studies
project applies to the final art grade by
referencing the completed Individual Web Quest
Research Worksheet.
Writing the essay in lesson five is good
preparation for the civic writing portion of the
MEAP High School Test in social studies. See
