Friends of Modern and Contemporary Art (FMCA) supports and enhances the DIA’s James Pearson Duffy Department of Modern and Contemporary Art by promoting art and design of the modern era up to the present day. FMCA also creates fundraising initiatives that contribute to the purchases of important new works of art in variety of mediums.

All FMCA members may attend lectures, enjoy curator-led tours of the DIA collection and special exhibitions, and participate in the FMCA Annual Meeting. Members also receive invitations to visit private collections, gallery tours, and attend other exclusive FMCA events.

Annual membership dues are listed below. In order to be eligible for membership in Friends of Modern and Contemporary Art, you must be a member of The Detroit Institute of Arts.
