I have seen most of his work in Mexico. He gave us his best the mural here at the DIA because the walls captured the an entire industry. Most of his Mexico murals are on smaller sections of wall.

It was the first painting I noticed as a child in the museum. My mom, who has worked at the museum for over 50 years, directed me to it and I've loved it ever since. I visit it every time I am here.

The rich blue undertones and sad posture of the depicted woman creates a sad feeling of despair. I always find it amazing how art can paint a story or setting visually.
