Guided tours led by museum-trained volunteers are available at 9:30 am only. Wednesday - Sunday. There is no additional charge for a tour. Please call 313 833 7981 to request a tour after your tickets are reserved. Exhibition Dialogue Room
The exhibition is organized along thematic lines, which explore powerful influences on modern artists.
An interactive ‘dialogue room’ within the exhibition encourages visitors to share their viewpoint by placing reproductions of works of art with words.
The activity involves visitors in active interpretation of works of art from the show. Monet to Dalí Student Dialogue Room: By Reservation Only
The Dialogue Room in the exhibition has been replicated outside of the exhibition so that students and teachers can participate in active learning and dialogue, separate from the general exhibition visitors. We hope that this space will help teachers reflect on the themes from the show and encourage students to express their personal responses to works of art. The images and descriptive words in the activity could be used to prompt discussion and writing about the works of art. Please call 313/833-7981 to reserve time in the student dialogue room.
