Paris, Collection Alphonse Kann (prior to 1923, until 1927); New York, auction, Alphonse Kann (American Art Association), 7 Jan. 1927, lot 35; Detroit, Ralph H. Booth, by whom given to the DIA in 1927. Note that Matteo Mazzalupi mistakenly (2005 corpus, p. 356) states that both panels (this and 25.146) were formerly in the Kann coll., Paris and that both were purchased by the DIA in 1927 at a NY auction. This is only true for 27.10.
