Art Discovery Program

The Art Discovery Program provides a cutting edge, multiple - contact cirriculum for 4th & 5th grade classes in three Detroit Schools. The program brings classes to the museum in four sequential visits, which combine an interactive discussion of works in the galleries with a hands-on art-making session. Gallery sessions help students develop critical thinking skills and each school's experience culminates in a group art project that the individual schools keep for display.
