Maintaining an art museum is a bit like running your household. We must maintain a comfortable climate – heating and cooling – 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. We must keep the lights on and maintain security, even when we are not open to the public. And, when we are open, the building is bustling with visitors, educators, curators, programs, films and activities to increase your connection with art.
Contributions to the DIA Annual Fund provide ongoing operational support for those educational programs and special exhibitions, as well as for general expenses associated with running the museum. Your annual support makes it possible for the doors to be open and the galleries staffed when guests arrive, and for the building and collection to be protected and secure when you've gone home.
