DIA Volunteer at Rivera Court
Volunteer Award Winner:
Volunteer to Volunteer - February 2010Eva Otto, February’s Volunteer to Volunteer awardee, is being honored for her work with the Staff Aide Committee. Otto is working with the Photography Department researching each of the photos contained in their countless books on the works of Diego Rivera gathering information on murals, paintings and drawings. She then enters the information in the data base. Otto also works on a similar project at Oakland University Gallery with their African collection and their beautiful collection of Chinese Scrolls.
Her work with the DIA began seven years ago with Gallery Service where she still volunteers. Currently, Otto serves on the Board as Records and Awards chair.
After retirement, Otto returned to school to complete her B.A. in Art History and English. The DIA is a beneficiary of her knowledge and experience.
A mother of two grown children and grandmother of four, Otto enjoys reading and hiking, particularly in the Nevada mountains.
The Volunteer Council is pleased to honor Otto as the February Volunteer to Volunteer awardee.
