CLASSIFICATION/GRADE/SALARY RANGE

Full-time, Non-Exempt, Temporary (Employment Agreement from April 11, 2018 through September 30, 2018 for duration of the Star Wars and The Power of Costume exhibition) 

$12.50 per hour

GENERAL SUMMARY

The Exhibition Team Leader assists in the delivery of services associated with the management of a special exhibition. This position consistently demonstrates understanding of the customer service processes, service standards and interpersonal skills necessary to consistently create an exceptional service.  Performs related work as required.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Oversees day-to-day operations of the special exhibition area such as the ticketing entry process and crowd management.
  • Troubleshoots and resolves issues that arise to positively address customer service concerns.
  • Interacts with visitors to provide information and assistance to enhance their museum experience.
  • Provides support to group tours, educational tours and third-party events touring the exhibition.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by the Director, Visitor Services and Supervisor, Visitor Services.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Supervisor experience in customer service preferred
  • Excellent individual customer service skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks.
  • Strong organizational and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work in collaborative effort with others. Team player a must.
  • Strong problem-solving and capacity to use tact, discretion and sound judgment while providing exceptional customer service.
  • Ability and willingness to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and some evenings and/or late nights.
