GENERAL SUMMARY

The Senior Data and Analytics Officer will develop, implement, coordinate and supervise all aspects of recording donations including gift processing, data entry, donor acknowledgments, pledge management, appropriate record documentation, and coordinating all reconciliation processes for donations.  S/he will also work closely with senior development staff, accounting and operations staff to continually improve and grow a healthy data management system.  Performs related work as required.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Supervise Data Specialists with all daily functions for gift recording.
  • Partner with annual fund/membership to streamline donation processing using ACME and Raiser’s Edge.  Work collaboratively to enhance reporting outcomes. 
  • Provide oversight to Guest Sales Manager for appropriate integration, reconciliation and tracking of all gifts, including annual fund and membership recorded in ACME.
  • Coordinate with Donor Relations Officer to ensure timely, accurate and appropriate donor acknowledgment.
  • Collaborate with accounting monthly to ensure accurate monthly reconciliation of all gifts.
  • Develop and maintain department wide policies and procedures for gift receiving, recording, entry and storage in compliance with IRS, PCI compliance and audit standards.
  • General database record maintenance to maintain data integrity.
  • Create, run and distribute information in the form of queries, exports and reports for data in response to internal customers.  Internal customers include leadership, major gifts, corporate officer, planned giving, grants, events, annual fund/membership, accounting, and donor relations.
  • Provide experience, analysis and expertise in best practices of all gift recording functions. Implementation of creative solutions that improve efficiency and produce accurate and beneficial output.
  • Collaborate with the Director of Development Operations on special projects including large fundraising events, auxiliary tracking, data review, data clean-up, and process development.
  • Participate as part of the development team in a collegial fashion.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Familiarity with all facets of fund raising
  • Minimum 5 years experience in fund raising operations and database management in a supervisory capacity
  • Robust knowledge of Raiser’s Edge and database systems
  • Proficient use of computers and software including Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to work on a team and communicate effectively in written and verbal form
  • Extensive knowledge and experience with policy and procedure creation and implementation
  • Analytical and strategic thinker with a focus on problem solving, improving efficiency and best practices
