AAW Lecture: Edward Hopper

Edward Hopper’s drawings reveal the observation and imagination behind iconic works like Nighthawks, Early Sunday Morning, and New York Movie.

Carter Foster, deputy director for Curatorial Affairs at the Blanton Museum in Austin, Texas, will discuss Hopper’s drawings as well as period photographs to explore Hopper’s choice of subjects and the process by which he turned his initial ideas into completed paintings.
