Developing Student Voice: Persona and Erasure Poetry

In this workshop led by writers from InsideOut Literary Arts, explore two unique forms of poetry using photographs from the exhibition Lost & Found: Photographs from the DIA's Collection. Educators will use photographs as a starting point to learn about persona poems and erasure poetry, two unconventional forms that can help students explore others’ perspectives and think differently about what a poem can be.

Educators will walk away with two writing activities to use with their students, all grade levels (K-12) and content areas are encouraged to attend.
