Ripped from the pages a children’s book, Lila finds herself trapped in the physical world and discovers that one of her most avid readers, Ramón, has grown up and is beginning to forget her. Hoping to save herself, she enlists Manuela, a local girl, and Ramón himself in order to recover the precious volume she used to inhabit from the Desert of Lost Memories.
This hand-drawn animated feature, the first Columbian animated feature to be directed by a woman, embraces the ethnic diversity of Columbia while promoting the importance of imagination, encouraging viewers, child and adult alike, to safeguard their curiosity and value their cultural roots.
