DFT @ Home | My Little Sister

(Switzerland/2020—directed by Stéphanie Chuat and Véronique Reymond)

Lisa (Nina Hoss), once a brilliant playwright, no longer writes. She lives with her family in Switzerland, but her heart remains in Berlin, beating in time with that of her twin brother Sven (Lars Eidinger), a famous stage actor. Since Sven has been suffering from an aggressive type of leukemia, the relationship between them has become even closer.

As Lisa struggles against accepting this blow of fate, she does everything in her power to bring Sven back on to the stage. For her brother and soulmate she neglects everything else, even placing her marriage in jeopardy. Despite the risks, Lisa is able to focus only on her brother, who awakens her deepest self, and rekindles in her the desire to be creative, the need to feel alive again.

Switzerland’s official entry to the 2021 Academy Awards® for Best International Feature Film. In German, French and English with English subtitles. (99 minutes)
