Friday Night Live! Yasmine Hamdan

Ever since the release of her debut album, Ya Nass (2013), Yasmine Hamdan’s personal, modern take on Arabic pop music has been getting tremendous attention in Europe, the US, Northern Africa and the Middle East. She’s performed prestigious shows on four continents, including a series of performances for the launch of the Jim Jarmusch film Only Lovers Left Alive, in which she is featured singing onscreen in one of the film’s most memorable scenes.

This event is presented in partnership with the Arab American National Museum, which will host a free screening of Only Lovers Left Alive and a talk with Yasmine Hamdan at 7 p.m. on Thursday, December 6.
